The Cardo in Old Jerusalem

In 1996 I traveled to the Middle East. It is an unforgettable place, steeped with history. This  Byzantine and Roman street was rediscovered during excavation of an apartment foundation in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem. It is now an archaeological garden strewn with small shops.
